Every bill I receive from The Duff Wilder Group feels like harassment. Last year, I was searching for a mental health therapist who accepted Medicaid. When I contacted their office, I learned the provider was within the Medicaid network. I was told to fill out an online questionnaire to schedule an appointment. Excited to find a virtual therapist who accepted Medicaid, I completed the form. Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there, and the nightmare began after the first appointment. For starters, the doctor couldn’t access my questionnaire responses, so we spent an hour going through the questions again. At that moment, I needed a therapist badly, not someone to help me fill out forms. The issues I raised were angerly brushed aside, finishing the questions within the timeframe was more important. (that's while I am crying on the other side) which was a huge red flag for me. Then, an automated system rescheduled me for another appointment. I canceled it online and called the office to express my frustration, I spoke to the office TWICE , since they were keep scheduling me! while I clearly stating I was no longer interested in seeing the doctor. I also researched the doctor’s credentials and background, which only confirmed my disappointment. After canceling the appointments and communicating with the office twice, I started receiving bills and continue to get them. Firstly, the appointment should have been covered by Medicaid, as the doctor assured me it would be. Second, I’m now seeing a supposed appointment and evaluation listed with a bill for $150 for the appointment and $200 for evaluation. My son is ADHD and my daughter, I know how those generally done, I am yet to see the evaluation or even to go through it, at the end, I am charged for it already! BBB is a next step. I have saved all the correspondence.
***UPDATE*** After not hearing from this office for nearly a year and after I requested to cancel all my appointments, after my first one in 2023!!
Ms. Wilder has filed a claim. This claim is based on my initial appointment where Ms. Wilder claimed to be a Medicaid provider, yet I canceled two appointments BY CALLING HER OFFICE and explaining why I would not wanted to see this provider again! For her being ignorant and lack of care for the patient during the appointment, rushing to go through her questionnaire, again, after I filled it online. It was bad.
Despite this, Ms. Wilder sent me a bill for $350 through J Adam Muns Authority.
Beware of this office; it feels like a trap. Given her "30 years of practice" in psychiatry, one would expect her to have hundreds of reviews. However, when I scheduled my appointment, she had only five. I will definitely be reporting her to the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

I sent an email wednesday September 3rd to Dr Sondra and her team. Nobody in my area is accepting new patience. Her being over an hour away I was more than fine with the drive. Dr. So dramatic reached out and said that she would have her office assistant reach out shortly to schedule. It is now 5:01 pm Friday September 5th. I have heard nothing after that initial email. Im just done asking for help in the state of alabama.
